Hi guys! I wanted to check in and give you all a little update as to what has been going on with me lately. As most of you know by now, we bought a house and we have been painting the entire interior of the house and we got new floors! It's been super exciting but extremely exhausting.
We decided to paint the house ourselves with the help of some friends and family because it is so expensive to get professional painters! When we bought the house it was painted in terrible colors...
at least by my taste. So we had to literally paint it from "head to toe". We painted ceilings, trims and walls... even doors. And two weeks later now, it looks lovely and so cozy! Slowly but surely it's coming together and I am finally making it my own.
I can't wait to start decorating! Isn't that the best part anyway? We got a beautiful dining room set that will get delivered this Friday! I can't wait to show you guys a little peek at our new place.
So all this sounds lovely and amazing, right? It is.
But like anything, once it pours with stress... it rains! Our kids were both sick the week we closed on the house! When I say that week, I mean the entire SEVEN days. I had to take Emme to the ER that Sunday because she had a high fever and like any parent, fevers freak me out!
She was diagnosed with the flu, thank God it was a mild one but the flu indeed.
She was sick for 3 entire days and needless to say I was sleepless and stress out but still thank God that it wasn't worse. Right after Emme was over her flu, Ben started getting sick. Thankfully his was only a virus, but still I hate to see any of kids sick. I was sleepless and worried for 7 days.
So now you know why I haven't been around lately.
Thank God it is all for good reasons, the new house and the kids were sick but only temporarily.
I've been updating Instagram though, so I hope you are following:)
I posted some adorable photos of some super fun DIY costumes I made for the kids.
This Sunday is the much anticipated We All Grow New York! And I am so bummed I am going to miss it. We move completely (we've been bringing little things here and there)  into the new house this weekend and I guess I was in over my head when I thought I could attend the conference all day in Brooklyn. After talking to a couple of friends I realized I had to let this one go and focus on one thing at a time. And that is the move to our new house. Especially having two small kids. Sometimes you just can't do it all and this was one of those moments. Ugh! Timing.
If you are going, have so much fun! And meet as many people as you can. If you want to know more here is the info. It promises to be a very informative and powerful brunch with only the best of the best Latina creators and influencers. Ana Flores and her team do an amazing job and kill it every single time, so I am positive this will be no exception.

This post is sponsored by Target. As always, all opinions expressed are my own.

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, and I couldn't skip decorating our dining table for this spoooooooky occasion! As you all know, Target is my life—mi otra casa.
I am there every single week, like it's my job! My husband could kill me, I am there so much. Whether it's for school shopping or birthday gifts—I am there hasta para la leche y el pan—I grab onto any excuse to go to Target! But you can't blame me; don't we all?

This time, I was (as usual) not there to get Halloween decorations, but I had to give in because every single piece was too fabulous to pass up. From the glammed-up pumpkins and spooky candy bowls to the very chic and stylish napkins, it was now or later!

I figured I might as well get it then, right? Even Emme joined in the fun. We bought the cutest gold cat ears for just $1 (you have to love that DollarSpot!). As you all know, I've never met a pair of baby cat ears I didn't love. My Em has them in black, silver, gold, leopard, blue, pink—you name it!

One of my favorite things I purchased for the table d├ęcor was the brujita legs! They are actually lawn sticks, but I knew I wanted to place them on the table somehow! So I decided to add some cute tissue paper and put them in this gorgeous Nate Berkus gold vase. And I loved the final result!

To add texture (which is a must), I added mummy fabric and the black lace tabletop one too.
I wanted to go spooky-glam this year, and I think I did a pretty good job! Everything was under $10, so not only is it fabulous and un poquitito escalofriante, but it's also budget-friendly.

Do you decorate your home for Halloween? If so, head over to Target—you'll be so happy you listened to me! But don't tell your hubby I sent you! ;)

Hi guys! I have been so MIA from the blog and I feel the need to let you all know why.
Thankfully the reason is a very good and very happy news!
W E  H A V E  A  N E W  H O U S E !
We bought a super gorgeous dining table for a fraction of the price.
I can't wait to share my tips and little tricks with you. But this is the style I love.
This is so pretty and I love the "house rules". So cozy and sweet!
Greige is life right now! And these gray and beige tones are perfection for living room decor!
My office will be the last room I decorate. But this is my inspiration!
And of course the kids' play room is going to be one of my favorite rooms to decorate. I am so excited to put this room together for them. But mostly I am just thankful to God for our blessings.
I have been packing our current home and organizing and of course dealing with all that stress that comes with any move. So please bare with me as I make this moving process as easy and smooth as it can be for me and my family. I do have some commitments that I will be sharing on here.
They are some amazing campaigns I am a part of and I can't wait to share.
But I did want to let you know that things on here will be a little slow. I am going to try to pop in with updates as often as I can. But follow me on Instagram and Snapchat for updates.
I can't wait to share more with you guys but for now I wanted to share what I've been pinning!
I am just too excited to start decorating our new home and where does one go for decor and pretty much just everything inspiration? To Pinterest of course.
Follow me for daily pins and things I love! Here are some of the decor ideas you will find.

Plaid is what's happening this fall ya'll! If you didn't know, now you know!
I've loved plaid for years and I am so excited to share today's look. I teamed up with Target for this super fab fall look, to bring you a subtle but super chic outfit that you can pull of any day this season and I am sure you will love.
If you are a Target aficionado, like myself, you are there at least two times a week...
for milk, for lip gloss, for pillows... for ONE thing but always end up leaving with more than you expected. And my last trip to Target was no exception. I died a little when I walked in an saw the Adam Lippes for Target Collection. The pieces are to die for, honestly. I could see myself wearing every single piece this season. Unfortunately for me, the collection has been so popular that my size was not available in a few pieces I really loved. But I was ecstatic that I was able to score this amazing sleeveless cowl-neck fringe sweater. I have worn it twice in the past week! Because it's that perfect, especially for this time of the year. For this look, I knew I wanted a neutral, relaxed but still put together look. I added this amazing shearling bucket bag from the same collection, neutral heels and a pair of faux leather pants and voila!
Plaid is so versatile that you can honestly wear it to an array of occasions.
You can wear it with jeans, work pants, skirts... you can do rocker chic, you can do preppy college style, you name it and plaid has got you covered. I personally love that it came be both a little safe and conservative or daring and rocker chic! You can wear it your way. I normally do reds, blues, greens when it comes to plaid, which is why this time I wanted to do something more subtle but still on trend. This cowl-neck sweater is the perfect must have piece this season. The second time I wore this look I wore it with ripped jeans and booties and I loved it even more! If you know me, you know I love clothes that I can wear over and over in different ways. It's all about creativity and getting the right pieces. If you still haven't seen the collection, check it out here
I am hoping to score this vest and this bag - because you can never go wrong with black!

World Teacher Day is this Monday, October 5th.
I absolutely love my son's teachers and they are such a key element to his future that I love to make them feel appreciated and let them know how much I care and truly how grateful I am for loving him as their own. So for today's post I wanted to share an absolutely fabulous DIY page I found on Pinterest - where you can get ideas for gifts you can send to your child's teacher this Monday! Perfect DIY for teacher's gifts! My life is based around Pinterest. I truly pin every single night!
But doesn't everyone? ;)
Check out The 36th Avenue for some super sweet and absolutely adorable DIY gift ideas that you can make this weekend with your kids. They are simple, beautiful and totally worth it!
And hey! it will be a rainy weekend here in the East Coast so you know what we will be doing!
I am leaning toward the DIY Apple Mason Jar or the DIY Initial Mug and maybe adding a Target gift card as well because, let's face it, we all love Target!
I hope these ideas get all your creative juices going. Let me know what you made or what your ideas are to send to your teachers. Afterall, they are the ones that spend a great deal of the day with our kids and truly make such an impact in their lives.
We love Mrs. L and Mrs. V. - Ben is one lucky boy to have you both!
