So things have been pretty busy around here. But I am not complaining, I love it! I am both excited and nervous. Back to the outfit... I wore this for errands this past Saturday. I love love love this poncho style cardi from SheInside - I love the print. It's chic and casual and you can style it a few different ways. You can purchase it HERE for under $35! Add a red lip (which I've been doing almost daily) and voila! You are all ready to go even for a casual weekend look. I hope you all enjoy the last couple of days of 2014. Sunnies/Gafas: Chanel
Lipstick/Labial: Russian Red by MAC
Cardigan/Sueter: H&M
Tunic/Camiseta: H&M
Leggings/Pantalones: Burlington
Boots/Botas: Forever 21
Nothing like a great red lipstick to brighten up a gloomy winter day.
Yesterday we had a few places to run to so I made sure I was extra comfortable and warm. It actually wasn't too cold so I was able to leave my bubble coat in the car. I love it anytime I don't have to wear my coat, being pregnant it actually makes me feel so much more uncomfortable when I have to put it on. Something about being five feet tall, 33 1/2 weeks prego and layering that makes me feel like a stuffed polar bear. I wore my all time favorite boots. I got these as a Christmas gift a couple of years back and wear them a lot and they are still in amazing condition, pretty shocking for Forever 21 faux leather boots! I love them! And of course I added a long cardi for an effortless chic look. Just 5 more weeks until we meet our baby doll! We cannot wait...
Me encantan! Que tengan una semana feliz!

Beanie: Zara
Sunnies: Chanel
Sweater: H&M
Cardigan: Forever 21
Jeans: H&M Maternity
Shoes: ASOS
Happy Friday! Last week I told you guys via my Insta how all I wear lately is black. For me it's easy and comfortable. I have been able to find some super comfy pants in several stores, from thick and soft leggings to amazing cotton pants to velvet chic styles. For this look I went for a simple black and jeans look and added the leopard shoes for a little bit of sass. I got these shoes at ASOS last month and I loved them from the minute I saw them. At less than $50 they were a must have! They are super comfortable and look amazing in person. These jeans are actually maternity jeans from H&M, I got them for $34.95 and they are really comfortable, I just wish they were a bit more of a skinny jean and they would be perfect!

This is a compensated campaign in collaboration with Evenflo and Latina Bloggers Connect. As always all opinions are my own.
Just 7 days until Christmas you guys! Yikes, did that fly! Thank God I got all my shopping done nice and early and guess what it was all done online. It is actually my first year shopping entirely online and I have to say I loved it. And I saved a ton of money because typical me I always have to have what I buy for someone else if it's already in my hands. Though I love shopping, the stores for me get overwhelming and I cannot focus on what it is that I need or want to get so this year was definitely easier and I was a lot more organized. I usually end up getting things I don't need and end up spending more money than I should. That is why I loved shopping online and using some amazing coupon codes and found great online deals! Have you guys finished your Christmas list? Well for today's post I have a super sweet and cool gift idea for the kids!

If you are still looking for the perfect gift for that precious baby or toddler this year, I've got you covered! This is a compensated campaign in collaboration with Huggies Little Snugglers and Latina Bloggers Connect. As always all opinions are my own.
So for as long as I can remember, I have always wanted a really big family. I say it's because I am an only child. And to this very day, at 30 years old, I still long for a sibling. I truly believe that there is no best friend or cousin that can amount to that of a sister or a brother. I find that the bond between siblings is simply unbreakable and no matter how mad you may or may not get with each other, you will still have each other. Forever. And that's what I want to give to my son. I remember the days when my husband (then boyfriend) and I would talk about what our ideal family would be and I always said I want FIVE kids. I am surprised he didn't run away... but realistically today, I settle at three. And we both agree that's a good number for us all. God willing, of course. So the day we found out we were expecting, we were thrilled and over the moon, ecstatic and just so grateful to God for this blessing. With all the joys and happiness also came my worries on how I would make sure to prepare my son for what was to come.
Now at 33 weeks pregnant, I am beginning to see the fruits of our labor. I say our, because I am not alone on this journey. My husband plays an amazing and very important role in all our lives. For the past 30+ weeks we have made sure to include B in every important event of this pregnancy and explain to him daily all about his growing baby sister. And looking back, I am so happy I did. Once we were all in the clear and new our pregnancy was a great healthy one, we told B he was going to be a big brother. And the boy couldn't be happier! At the time I wasn't too sure whether he truly understood or not. But today, I know he does. He understands so much more than I even know.
For me, this journey has not been easy, in terms of emotions and overwhelming feelings of happiness but so much bittersweet thoughts. As any mother pregnant with a second child, I began to feel nervous. Would I be able to love my second baby enough? How would I share my love with my two children? Would I have enough time to for the two of them equally? Will B resent me? All these crazy questions, kept popping into my mind. But I knew I had to take over those emotions and tell myself "Erika, you are doing the best job that you can. And nothing is perfect and your kids will love you no matter what".
So as the weeks passed we began to prep B for what will be his biggest role yet. The best BIG BROTHER in the world. He truly has been amazing. The amount of love he has for his sister is mind blowing. I never knew how much he would truly understand at 3 years old that this little human growing inside of me is his unconditional love. His unconditional baby sister.
So I wanted to share some tips that worked for us and hope that work for you too. I know being a mom is not easy. We have the biggest most important role in the world. And if I can help you just a little bit with a small tip or idea to make your days easier I am happy to do so.
Here's a list of little things we did to make this "big brother"transition fun and comprehensive to B:
Include your child in everything
Take them to an ultrasound and tell them "Look, that's your baby brother/sister".
Be sure to make them feel special too.
Anytime you can, remind them about the growing baby.
Tell them how great they are doing in their new role as an older sibling.
Let them help you register for baby items.
We did this with B and he had a blast and felt so helpful. It took longer than it should have but this is part of helping them prepare for their new role. And I truly enjoyed him picking things out for his baby sister.
Don't exclude them from the baby plans and errands.
My husband and I made sure that B was included in everything... even building the baby's new dresser. It was the cutest thing. He truly believes he built his sister's dresser all on his own.
Pay attention to the little things.
It melts my heart every time B is eating, he hands me a piece of whatever he is having and says "Here mama this is for our baby" - some times I really don't want to eat it but I do just so his generous gestures don't go unnoticed. He shares his toys and is always giving her kisses. It fills my heart with joy!
Now-a-days, my belly is full of hugs, kisses... and stickers!
Let them be active towards their new sibling. First, it is adorable and second, they are really making a connection and growing their love for the arrival of the new baby.
For our baby shower, we made sure to have B attend for a majority of the event.
He was so excited for the "Baby's Party" as he called it and the next day said it was the baby's best "birthday" ever! He was included in everything, in all the photos. And of course opening all the gifts and even folding her new clothes. This made him feel so happy and though he made the biggest mess I didn't mind. Some times, we tend to get crazy (I know I do) with messes and keeping the house tidy. But there are just some moments when you have to sit back and take it all in. And this day was one of them for me.
Give them a gift too!
My mom had special present for B the day of the baby shower. She filled his bag with stuff he loved. Little things like stickers, cars and Christmas shirts and cups and all little things we knew would make him feel special too. She gave it to him as we opened all of the baby's gifts and he was so happy. We plan to do this on the day he meets the baby too. The baby will have a gift for him and he will have a gift for her.
I can't say I am doing a perfect job as a mom. Most days, I wonder if I am even just OK. But I know I am trying my best. I hope B knows that. And one day when he and his sister are older they truly hold that special bond I have always longed for. There is no better feeling than love. And the love from a mother to a child is the biggest love I have ever known. Today, I know I will  have enough love for them both. And I will make time for them both. And I know it won't be easy but I think that as long as I try and I cherish the little moments, I believe my children will feel the love I have for them and in turn love each other and be there for each other for always.
This is my last post in collaboration with Huggies and it has been an amazing project to be a part of. With every post I wrote I felt closer to every one of your mommies and mommies to be. I hope you enjoyed this 6-part campaign as much as I did and that my tips and ideas were of some help to at least one of you. I am just 6 weeks away from giving birth to my baby girl. And time is sure not staying still. I am so excited and happy but nervous and emotional. Mostly for B. For his new life as a big brother. I pray I have the patience and the knowledge to be the best mom I can be to the both of them.
Thank you so much for reading this emotional and intimate post. I hope it is a little help to some of you.

This is a compensated campaign in collaboration with PONDS® and Latina Bloggers Connect. As always, all opinions expressed are my own.

It's Beauty Tuesday! For today's post I teamed up with POND'S to share my night time beauty routine with you. I have been using POND'S moisturizers for about 4 years now. I started using it when I was pregnant with Ben, as it was recommended to me by one of my dear friends because of my very dry skin at the time. But I always knew about the brand because my mom and aunts have used it ever since I can remember. I remember when I lived in Ecuador... 20 years ago, my aunt would actually use it every night to remove her makeup! Yes, before these amazing POND'S® Makeup Removing Towelettes even existed! And let me tell you she still uses the brand and has amazing skin. So when my friend recommended it years ago I began to use and see results immediately. And have not stopped using it since. Most recently I tried out POND'S Bio-Hydratante Hydration Cream, as you all know I love to test out other brands and new products and I love sharing my favorites with you because they really work for me.POND'S is one of the brands I always keep in stock at home and use it nightly, especially in the winter. It has an amazing moisturizing and refreshing texture and leaves my skin feeling smooth and fresh every single time.
I remember the days when I worked my 9-5 I wore makeup every single day. My skin was much different back them. It is amazing what makeup will do to you - good and bad. It can make you feel stunning and beautiful but it can also cause your skin to dry out and bumps or acne to appear. That is why it is so important to have a good daily facial cleansing routine, no matter what age you are. Nowadays, I don't wear makeup everyday and honestly it feels great... while I love makeup I am also happy to be makeup-free because I can see the difference in my skin. I am typically au-natural when running errands throughout the week. But still whether or not I wore make up that day I still clean my face with makeup wipes before washing my face. And lately I have been using POND'S® Makeup Removing Towelettes and love them!

First, I clean my face at night with my facial wipes (makeup or not).
Then wash my face with a good facial cleanser
Lastly, I apply POND'S Bio-Hydratante Hydration Cream.

I go to bed with clean, fresh and smooth skin and wake up with a "I WOKE UP LIKE THIS" look I love. I definitely recommend these two products ladies, they are inexpensive, effective and you will see immediate results. Especially if you have dry skin. They have several different types of moisturizers and you can use they one that best suits your skin. You can purchase these products at your local Walmart. Let me know if you try it and I guarantee you will love it as much as I do!

The world famous Rockettes are known for their precision dance routines where every step is the same. But when they’re off stage, their beauty routines are choreographed to their individual needs.
Visit Ponds at Walmart for behind-the-scenes beauty tips from the Rockettes and to see how they use PONDS to achieve glowing, flawless skin.

Headband/Cintillo: Forever 21
Sweater/Sueter: H&M
Pants/Pantalon: H&M
Shoes/Zapatos: Zara
This weather is making me bananas. One day I am freezing! One day I am enjoyinh the sunny cool days! I am loving the gorgeous 50 degree December days! I wish these were our winters. It makes life so much easier! I can wear cute shoes and no socks! Yay! I wore this outfit on Saturday for some errands. If you've noticed I have not bought many new things lately. For me it would almost be a waste of money to start shopping now at 8 months pregnant for something I will only wear another month or so. So I have been recycling outfits and playing with accessories instead. If you are like me, you don't LOVE maternity clothes... they are very expensive (in my opinion) and you won't wear them for very long. So I use most of my pants that have a comfortable elastic around the waist and sweaters for the most part, as of lately. I have to be honest, while I love my heels, I can only wear them for so long. So I always change into flats after a little while.

This is a compensated campaign in collaboration with Evenflo and Latina Bloggers Connect. As always all opinions are my own.

Happy Sunday! I am happy to share today's post with all my mommy readers. Whether you are an expecting mom or an experienced mom, this post is for you. I was lucky enough to receive the amazing Evenflo World Explorer ExerSaucer to review. And I have to say I couldn't be happier that I did. With Ben, I used a different ExerSaucer but to be completely honest it does not compare to this one. It is so important to expose our children to different visuals and cultures from when they are very small. And this activity center does just that. It boasts innovations designed to encourage hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills and imagination. I love the 3-1 feature, you can use this toy/activity center for a few years and that to any mom is win-win... for my pocket and for my kids knowledge and entertainment.
You can start using it from as early as the newborn stage (0-4 months) with the play mat feature. This is typically when babies are all about seeing and touching, all about sensory and exploring the world around them. I love that the mat can be easily cleaned. We all know how drooly babies can be at this stage! The mat is nice and cushioned to prevent head bumps and the toy is very engaging with all its colors and sounds. A great way to stimulate your growing baby in the early stages.
Next is the "moving" stage! Around 4 months your baby will begin to explore its surroundings and turning and rolling and ladies, this will go on forever! You can use the ExerSaucer Activity Center "Move and Bounce" until the child is about 12 months or when your baby starts to try to climb out of it, because believe me they will! I remember when Ben was 6 months old, it was one of my favorite stages. He was so mobile and silly and just so precious to me. He has started to love to bounce and blabber and just enjoyed toys and learn new things. I know with my new baby girl on the way it will be great to use the Evenflo ExerSaucer and see my two kids play together. At this stage you can turn it to the typical ExerSaucer stationary position. Babies can enjoy the Language Pod with 12 scenes in 4 languages! Yes FOUR languages which include English, French, Spanish and Mandarin. How cool is that? They will learn animal sounds, like elephants, penguins and pandas. It also has a LED camera that flashes and displays different photos. I truly love this! I know that Ben will love showing his little sister all the tricks and features on this toy.
Lastly, once your child is walking or standing up alone they can enjoy the"Create and Play" feature. It opens up and transitions into an activity table for hours of entertainment. You can use this from 12 months to 24 months or as long as your child is enjoying it. With its 20+ activities it is designed to help your baby/toddler learn through play for more than 2 years.
You can purchase the Evenflo World Explorer ExerSaucer at your local Babies“R”Us for $129 and for a limited time receive 20% off your purchase by using THIS link - this offer will run from December 5 to December 24, 2014, so take advantage of this great discount! Happy Shopping!

This is a compensated campaign in collaboration with NEUTROGENA and Latina Bloggers Connect. As always all opinions expressed are my own.
Ahhh! The holidays are almost here... and in a blink of an eye, they will be here, celebrated and gone! So I am trying to get as much done as I can for you guys here on the blog but still enjoy my family time because after all... it's the most wonderful time of the year! With that said, I am already planning some holiday looks and this one was totally inspired by a natural beauty glam look. So not only is the makeup very delicate and neutral but so is my outfit (full outfit post soon). I love a natural makeup look not only because it takes me the least amount of time to do but because I feel my best in it. It makes me feel fresh faced and gives me a bright flowy look I love! For today's look I used Neutrogena makeup products, which never disappoints. Some of my favorite products? If you must ask... the amazing moisturizer + lippie! The moisturizer does its job as soon as I apply it, making my skin feel instantly hydrated and refreshed. While giving it that J.Lo glow we all seem to adore! And the lip gloss and lip color stick are perfect for everyday wear as well as a more glammed up look. Here's a list of the products you need to create this look:

Neutrogena® Oil-Free Moisture Broad Spectrum SPF 35
Neutrogena® Nourishing Long Wear Liquid Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 20
Neutrogena® Crease Proof Eye Shadow
Neutrogena® Nourishing Eye Liner
Neutrogena® Healthy Volume® Mascara
Neutrogena® MoistureSmooth Color Stick
Neutrogena® MoistureShine® Gloss

...and of course one must remove all this makeup in order to maintain a smooth, clear and fresh face so I also used Neutrogena® Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes to remove the makeup at the end of the night. I am not going to lie there are days where I am so tired I simply forget to remove my makeup but believe me ladies, my skin pays for it the morning after. I can really see the difference in the texture and look of my skin whenever I rarely sleep with makeup on. So my suggestion (and what I've been doing recently) is to keep your makeup remover wipes near your bed, on your night table or in the drawer for easy access. Your face will thank you and you will have an amazing morning glow.
Happy Christmas Season guys! I am so excited for this month's festivities and I can't wait for the rest of the holiday inspired posts we have planned. Stay warm and be merry!

Monday, December 8, 2014

So it's about that time, Christmas is just 17 days away! And I have already sent out my Christmas cards this year. I made sure to do them nice and early before it got way too cold here in New Jersey. We pretty much shot these on the very last warm day of the year and I am so glad we did. I knew I wanted to do pictures outside since the past years they have been either in a studio or inside our home, I wanted these to be different. So I grabbed some Christmas props I already had in the garage and set them up outside our house. Yes! Outside our house... but it worked. I knew I wanted us all to coordinate our colors and outfits but not too matchy and over the top Christmasie... Even Lola (my adorable shih-tzu) got dolled up for the 20 minute photo shoot, haha. I set up our tripod and we started shooting. Now mind you I don't have a remote control for the camera so I had the guys stand there and pose while I ran back and forth. But it literally took us 20 minutes tops and we were able to get some adorable shots of Ben. He is such a photogenic boy I swear, it's not just because he is my son, but have you seen how handsome he is? I die. And Lola, she is an expert at posing now. So ladies, next time you are stuck and don't know what to do for your Christmas photos, grab a few props, dress your little family up and head outside, natural lighting is everything and my personal favorite - all you need is a tripod and a couple of cute kiddos - furry or not. When there's a will, there's a way! I hope you enjoyed this little DIY family photos post.

My favorite season is officially here!
And truthfully this has been my favorite holiday thus far. Why? Because my son seems to be enjoying it more than any other holiday this year. The joy in his face any time we see a decorated house or anything that has to do with Christmas just warms my heart. Last Friday, we decided to spend our day at home instead of giving in to the masses of the ridiculous Black Friday craze and we decorated our home and put up our Christmas tree. And it was perfect. The entire day was filled with joy and laughs and tons of photos of course. I am so happy I was able to spend this entire day with my little family at home, that's not to say I didn't do a little shopping online that morning though.
By the end of the night once B was asleep I sat down to have my cup of hot chocolate (which I am obsessed with lately) and started to really think about how blessed we are. Blessed to have a warm home, a nice meal daily and simply the best of all, a home filled with tons of laughs and love. Which is why I wanted to share this super special collaboration with you. If you remember a couple of weeks back I shared my favorite items from the Toms + Target collection (available in stores now). So I visited my local Target and picked up some pieces I loved for this holiday season. I bought this super cozy knit sweater and this inspirational and adorable mug. I love the message behind the campaign more than anything else and I am so happy that I am able to give back by shopping these items. The idea behind this #TOMSforTarget campaign is that we should all give back. Even as we get lost in the holiday craze and shop, shop, shop... there is no better feeling than helping others in need. So what better way to give back to those who really need our help than by being able to donate any time you shop. For every item you purchase from the collection TOMS will donate either a blanket via American Red Cross, one week of meals via Feeding America, or one pair of shoes via TOMS, as part of their one-for-one motto. Visit your local Target now through March 12, 2015 to give your small part to our communities. In a world so media obsessed and marketing driven I believe we can all do our part by helping spread the word on this amazing campaign between two of my favorite companies.
May your December be merry and joyful... and may you be blessed with love, health + laughs!
Toms For Target: One-for-One. For All. Starting November 16th, for every Target+Toms limited edition gift you buy, we're (Target) giving shoes, a blanket or meals to those in need. #TomsForTarget

There is one thing that I truly believe all women will agree on: staying forever young! I have never heard a person say "I am so looking forward to having lines and wrinkles". We all strive to look our best and feel and look young. For today's beauty tip post I have teamed up with Olay to share some tips and tricks of what keeps me looking but most importantly feeling young.
Let's start on the outside for a second. Ever since I was a little girl, I was always reminded by my mother to protect and take good care of my skin. That meant wash your face 2-3 times a day, use a great moisturizer daily. Protect your skin from the dangerous sun rays and of course use a scrub 2-3 times a week. To date I do exactly that, I believe that was one of the best beauty secrets my mom passed down to me. Our skin can be so sensitive to the climate around us, whether that's the sun or cold winds. For me, caring for my face has always been a priority and most recently I added an amazing product to my skin care routine: Olay Regenerist Luminous Facial Oil and ladies, I am raving all about it! I use it daily after washing my face and applying my moisturizer. I then add 4-5 drops of the oil and apply in circular motions all around my face. The results are the complete opposite of what I ever expected from a facial oil. I truly thought it would leave my skin feeling greasy and looking shiny. But no, It absorbs to my pores and gives me a healthy, young looking glow that I love. Making me feel and look radiant. This product has quickly become a must-have for my skin care routine and I definitely recommend it to all my friends. That's my secret to fresher younger looking skin!
A not-so-secret secret to feeling healthy and young is exercise! And as far as exercise ladies, I try to keep active by taking walks around my neighborhood every chance I get. When I enjoy the day with my son and walking our dog, I love the feeling of breathing in some fresh air and refreshing my mind. I believe walks are essential for the mind and body. This is the easiest form of exercise one can get. It's free and at your finger tips. Now that I am 7+ months pregnant I am beginning to see the benefits of staying active throughout the day. Having a 3 year old also helps me keep active, he is constantly on the go and there is really no chance to rest - but I love that because subconsciously my mind and body are on the go as well... it's a win-win!

In recent years anything and everything organic, green and healthy has become a trend. A trend that I hope will not go away because I enjoy having all these amazing ideas, recipes and products at my finger tips. Every week, a couple of times a week, I make myself and my son a green juice. We love it! The possibilities are endless. You can pretty much add anything to your green juice, here's what my essentials are: spinach, green apples, broccoli, bananas, pineapple. If I don't have a chance to actually make the juice, I always keep a bottle of my favorite green juice in my fridge. So anytime I am tight on time, I just grab it and go.

I have to admit, in my most recent years I have become a huge fan of water. I shamefully didn't drink enough water in my younger years. That's a no-no ladies. It is all about getting used to it. I started drinking water more and more as the days progressed. And now I feel like I need it... which yes you really do. Water is key to a healthier body as well as great skin. No matter how old you are, water is essential. I have noticed a difference in my skin the last few months as well as my energy. So this is definitely a super easy must-have for me.
So to recap, ladies...
First: It is essential to take care of our skin by using a great moisturizer and facial oil (I recommend Olay Regenerist Luminous Facial Oil).

Second: Stay active any way you can! Whether you are a mom or not, find ways to have some sort of exercise daily. Walk, go to the gym , do an exercise home video... or like me, run after your 3 year old!

Third: Drink healthy! Green juices are all the rave for a reason. They are delicious, easy to make and super healthy for all of us. If you don't have the time, there are so many options to buy these already made.

Last: Hydrate yourself! Water is the key to feeling healthy, energized and looking youthful and fresh! You should drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. If you are not a water lover (like I was) start slowly, believe me, you will be craving water very soon. Just all about getting your body used to it!
