A few weeks ago all the fashionistas out there were swooning over the Peter Pilotto collaboration with Target. And I was definitely one of them. I woke up early that Sunday and headed to my local Target. And to my surprise there was more than plenty of inventory and no crazy lines or crowds. I was happy. As I browsed through the pieces I found myself drawn directly to a single print style out of the many there was to choose from and I ended up buying 3 pieces of the same print/color. These pants were one of them. I am in complete love with them they fit like a glove, even for a shorty like me (I am 5' tall). I love the quality and the fact that they are high waisted. The print is gorgeous and the colors scream SPRING. I wanted the pants to do the talking therefore I decided to wear a simple tank top also from Target in a pretty blue to accentuate the lighter blue in the pants. And topped it with this lace sweater that I love, in navy blue.

The earrings I am wearing here are my fave, they are blue sapphire tear drop earrings from my shop! And I decided to mix it up by adding silver arm candy, also from my shop! Check it out HERE.

I debated on writing this post. And even on posting it at all. But sometimes it is best to keep on at life and get through the days with distractions and just simply trust in God. This passed weekend I lived a difficult and emotional life experience I wouldn't wish on anyone. For now I just want to say I am doing better and my family and I are all ok. These pictures were taken before that. It was a gorgeous Saturday morning and we enjoyed an amazing Dominican brunch. Maybe one day I will get the guts to share what happened. For now it's just too emotional for me. But I just wanted to say to never take things for granted and to be grateful for what you have. I am so blessed with an amazing husband and a healthy happy child and the added bonus of having and amazing mom and sweet caring family and friends. But often times we take things for granted and even the "most precious of things are too precious to ever even hold" as my sweet cousins wrote to me. I don't want to bum you out but I do want to relate a message that was set in front of me when I needed it, by the amazing Joel Olsteen: "We're not always going to understand why something happens. True faith is trusting God when it doesn't make sense".
I hope that helps someone as much as it did me.

I was in love with this top from the moment I saw it on the OASAP shop. The detail and lace embroidery are just gorgeous and the color is simply exquisite. It is perfect for this Spring and Summer. You can get yours HERE too and they have different colors! Let me know what you think of this look!

Treasuring Family Moments with LUBRIDERM

This is a compensated campaign in collaboration with LUBRIDERM and Latina Bloggers Connect. As always all opinions expressed are my own.
To me, FAMILY is everything. It always has been. From my very first memories as a child I always remember that no matter what my family always made time for family time and no matter what we always have each others back. Whether that was through exquisite Ecuadorian meals on Sundays or by simply being there for each other during more difficult times.
And now that I have my own family I have learned to treasure my family moments just like my mom did with me. In my family we enjoy anything and everything as long as we do it together. From summer walks in the park, fun water parks or pool days... to simply movie nights and reading time! And I cherish those memories by capturing them with photos. I have always been a picture fanatic and I think that is the best way to hold those precious moments forever. One of the little traditions I love most is weekend mornings... we typically cook breakfast and now that my son is 2 we let him take over the meal making and he loves it. As simple as it may be we really enjoy those little moments together... they mean the most to me. Because when it come to taking care of my family - their health and happiness is my #1 priority.
That is why it's so important for me to not only take care of their bodies inside by making them healthy meals but also keeping their outsides healthy. My husband and my son both tend to get dry skin patches on their bodies during the winter months. Like father, like son! So that is where SuperMama comes to the rescue. I make sure they are always hydrated and moisturized by using Lubriderm's Daily Moisture Lotion. It is by far the best moisturizing body lotion we have used, my favorite is the new Shea + Calming Lavender Jasmine scent. It has such a soothing fragrance, almost baby like, but still the same trusted effectiveness as the original Lubriderm Daily Moisture Lotion. It keeps my family's skin moisturized for 24 hours and has a light and clean, non-greasy feel which we love.

Last night was an epic night for all Latinos, our Premios Lo Nuestro award show took place and it was simply amazing. I was able to watch the red carpet or Noche de Estrellas and it was fabulous. Just as stunning as I expected to see some of my favorite ladies. And these 4 I listed above were my favorite.
It was all about sequins and embellishments and body-hugging gowns that fit these 4 women like a glove!

Alejandra Espinoza looked like a million bucks in this gold deep neckline sequin number. So classy yet so sexy all in one. I was so happy to see her hair pulled back to showcase the stunning gown she donned.
Chiquinquirá Delgado, I have no words. This woman's body is to die for and she did this stunning dress justice like no one else could have. The gorgeous detail embellishment was just exquisite. Such a classic beauty!
Alejandra Guzman, is not normally on my best dressed lists. But I have to give it to her. This gorgeous black mermaid style dress was made for her. She looked healthy and happy. I truly love this gown on her.
And finally Chiquis Rivera, owned this white dress, her red vivacious lips were the perfect added pop of color and she looked like perfection. Such a simple gown but she made it look absolutely stunning.
Here are some great beauty tips to achieve two great trends seen at last night's magenta carpet!
Old Hollywood glam updo’s received an instant modern upgrade with a deep side part.
As Seen On: Ana Brenda Contreras, Nastassja Bolívar, and Chiquinquira Delgado
Suggested Products: To achieve this look, first prep hair with the L’Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle Sleek It Strand Smoother Serum-Spray ($4.99, which not only smooths frizz, but also adds shine. Avoid creating a look that’s too severe by lightly spraying L’Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle Lock It Bold Control Hairspray ($4.99, to keep your style in place.

Out with the old and nude. Celebrities at Premios Lo Nuestro were not afraid to put their best pout forward with bold lips and a dramatic cat eye to compliment the look.
As Seen On: Chiquis Rivera, Alejandra Espinoza, and Karla Martinez
Suggested Products: With over 16 shades, try the L’Oréal Paris Extraordinaire by Colour Riche Liquid Lipcolour ($9.99, to add rich color and magnified shine to your lips. For the eyes, Apply a thin line on the lashline while making thicker as you reach your outer corners using the L’Oréal Paris Silkissime Eyeliner by Infallible ($8.99, Use a darker color like black for the extra drama factor.

I hope you enjoyed these tips on how to achieve these gorgeous and classic looks. I truly loved what these women wore - they were classic Latin beauty and I couldn't be prouder.

Hey amigas, I am writing this post today sans outfit pics or beauty deets... I simply haven't been able to shoot outfit pics for the passed few days. I enjoyed a long weekend with my family, it was Vday as well as President's day so I took the time to enjoy them fully. Aside from that the weather hasn't really permitted fun and cute pics. It snowed again this morning and I know you have heard this from all of the East Coast people but we are so sick of it. I decided to answer a lot of emails and plan out some fun beauty posts I have coming. I also have ordered some amazing new jewels for Lola Blue, the closet that I can't wait for you all to see! I want it all! They are all pastel hues perfect for this Spring that can't come fast enough.

I wanted to post this photo from 5 years ago when we visited Santorini in Greece, it was mid August and it was so so hot! What I wouldn't give to be there with  my boys today. The good thing is the weeks are suddenly flying by. So I am so excited for spring. I just wanted to touch base with you guys so you don't think I am lost or have abandoned Lola Blue:) I hope you like the new name and got adjusted to the new links. East coasters, stay warm! West coasters, I am so jelly! But enjoy! xo

Hi guys, I am so happy to share with you that I have changed my blog name! Please welcome LOLA BLUE STYLE. There are a couple of reasons why I changed the name and I am so happy I did. I wanted to share with you guys so you get a better understanding of the reason behind it. First as you all know I have a jewelry boutique that had the same name as my blog Lola Blue, the closet (changes coming there too but name staying the same) so people always confused the two web addresses and I really think it was time to separate the two so they have their own individualized names. Afteralll, one is all about my style, my clothing style, my life style, my beauty style! And the boutique is about well, what I keep in my closet :) The second reason is because I got some great advice from an awesome friend who thought it was much easier to have a domain than to have the entire blogspot address and I totally agreed with her. I didn't want the name to be too different so I kept it simple and easy to remember. I hope you guys like it. I think it was about time! Please remember my Twitter and Facebook web addresses have also changed but my email is the same, as I do have both the blog and jewelry connected there. Eventually I'll make the change but for now this is the easiest way to do it! Overall, I am so happy with the new name and the new address. Don't worry the old blog name is redirecting you to here and the if you already follow me on Twitter and Facebook you have nothing to worry about either. But here are the new links so you can see, xo.

One thing I love is all things girly and girly equals sequins and things! Therefore, I was so happy when I found this blue sequin top at Zara last Saturday just in time for the Lulu's NYFW event, which night. The pictures do this blouse no justice, it is so pretty in person and I knew I wanted to make it the focus point of my outfit so I decided to go with simple black pants, shoes and bag. The vibe of the top is definitely very 70's so I went for a simple makeup look with nude lips and a winged thick eyeliner. I felt comfortable and chic... oh and did you guys notice my new shorter do? I am totally diggin' it.

You guys, if you haven't headed out to Zara for their SALE, I suggest you do. I was there this past Saturday very briefly (that never happens) but I was in a rush. And I managed to grab 3 pieces for $19.99 or less. This super cool artsy blouse was one of them and I loved it. I wore it for a birthday dinner on Saturday night  (thank God for great weather last weekend) and added these H&M faux leather pants for a cool vibe. This is a very cool look that is easy to recreate using any other graphic blouse. Just add some cool shoes or fab jewels and you are ready to go.

Last week my cousin sent me a pic of Khloe Kardashian wearing my Forever 21 "BANG" sweater so I immediately knew I had to post about it! I actually wore this sweatshirt with a skirt early January (see HERE) for a dinner party. I had every single piece ready for this so this was cake and I had to do it! I love the casual cool feel of this look so easy but still fashionable. Here is how I copied  her look exactly but for less. What do you think? Would you wear this? Black is my color of choice lately.

Happy Tuesday! We had an amazing weekend, so I finally was able to take some outfit pics and so happy I did because yesterday we had yet another big snow storm. And oh yea... two more this week are coming! But for now I wanted to share this look with you guys. I bought this fabulous blazer for $15 at the H&M sale a couple of weeks ago. It is such a statement piece that I wanted to be sure to wear it right. And I am happy I paired it with a skirt. I actually wore it for a baby shower with pants for a much simpler look but this one is definitely my fave so far. I was able to wear no leggings which I was so happy about the temperature hit 55 on Sunday! Yay... can't wait for those gorgeous spring days to come. Have a great week and stay warm.
Feliz martes!

All the jewelry you see on me is from my shop Lola Blue except for the watch which is from NY&Co.
I cut my hair over Sunday night! Can't wait to show you:)
