Maxi Chic

Sundays are for relaxing and enjoying life. We make it a point to that every single Sunday. Last Sunday we went to a beautiful park nearby, it was just the perfect afternoon. As far as my Sunday style, comfort is key. Maxi skirts are so chic and give a great look to any day. I love my heels, I am just 5' so the height is a must for me. A good tip if you want comfort and height is to wear platform shoes, they are fab and comfortable all in one. I wore my favorite wedges that I got at NY&Co for just $10 last summer! Sales are my best friend.

Fall Must Haves: Beauty + Fashion

This is a compensated campaign in collaboration with Latina Bloggers Connect and Neutrogena.

With back to school season here I wanted to put together some fashion and skin care tips that I personally use as I transition into fall. One of the most important things to remember is that you don't only have to transition your closet but also, most importantly, your skin care regimen. As for me, my skin is always more dry during the change of seasons. So I make sure I take charge and use the products that work best for me. I have been using Neutrogena products for a very long time. Since I was a teenager as a matter or fact... It is definitely one of the brands that works best for my skin and where I see the results immediately.

Here is a look into my daily facial care routine:

WASH my face with Neutrogena Oil Acne Wash leaving my face feeling absolutely clear and fresh. This face wash is oil free and has a gentle wash formula that you feel and see instantly. It cleanses deep down into my pores for clear and radiant skin. At the same time it has an exfoliating factor and helps treat and prevent breakouts.

MOISTURIZE my face and neck using Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Night and yes I use it during the day and night. It is a very lightweight moisturizer that I love, so I use it twice a day. It contains retinol sa which actually is excellent treatment for preventing acne. A tip a beauty expert told me! It visibly smooths wrinkles and fine lines and overall texture of the face. Also helps with dark spots and discoloration which I have both and I've seen improved on. I am a die-hard fan of this product. It is amazing for my skin.

PRIME. Right after my moisturizer, I apply the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Primer Broad Spectrum SPF 15 I love it because it helps extend the wear of my makeup and also smooth any imperfections for a flawless look. It contains Natural Soy which is a a proven tone correcting ingredient.

CONCEAL, COVER + MAKEUP. One piece of makeup I can't live without is concealer, so I use it daily. I use Neutrogena Healthy Skin Brightening Eye Perfector as my tool to conceal bags under my eyes and my signs of no sleep! It is creamy and light and does not crease, very important! Especially when you are a woman on the go! I then apply a light base powder all over my face for complete coverage. And then simply add the Healthy Skin Custom Glow Blush & Bronzer, I love to combine both! And to complete my natural fall look I end with a black lash extending mascara such as the Healthy Lengths Mascara... and voila! I am ready to go.

And as you know if you follow my daily, I love to add a pop of color to my lips any chance I can. I am especially loving all the reds and deep plum lipstick shades lately. They are perfect for fall and will add a bit of sass to any outfit. It just makes me feel complete! Of course I do also love a natural color gloss... just all depends on what I am wearing and where I am going that day.

STYLE... of course no season transition is complete without the closet must-haves! Above I put together a fun and chic board of my favorite Fall Style pieces you will need come September. This season we are all about pops of color to accentuate your darker fall tones. A mustard yellow or hunter green handbag adds spark to any outfit. As far as accessories go, don't forget to grab a bold scarf which will instantly take your fall look to another level.

Graphic tees are so fun and easy to take from summer right into fall, just add a edgy biker jacket like the white one above and it becomes a different outfit. Boots, boots, boots...  my favorite part of fall and winter season. I live in boots! If you have a limited budget then I recommend you get 2 pairs. One pair of fab suede black booties for work and play! And of course the ever-so-comfortable and chic brown knee-high riding boots, for a more casual and comfy look.

Leather and plaid are two of my favorite trendy pieces this season. Plaid is totally back and fabulous! So get a cute button down, they are every where right so you can play around with prices. And a skirt is a must have for me all year round.. so I loved this plaid school girl style paired with a simple and feminine white blouse. Finally you can buy a leather or as I prefer a faux leather pants anywhere right now. I am all about the fit and comfort. I can wear them for a night out in the town or simple with a knit sweater for a mommy chic look!

Mommy Chic: Love my B.

From the moment I saw this shirt on the H&M online shop I knew I had to have it. The letter B for me stands for various things. It has so much meaning in my life. Most importantly it is my son's initials and of course my last name. I love monogrammed items especially when it comes to any super cheesy like this. So for this mommy chic look I wore my favorite Zara jeans and heels and of course my classic red lip for a fun look. This time I wore F-Bomb by Urban Decay. By the way, yes that is my diaper bag! I love a nice fun tote as a diaper bag... gives any look a fun modern feel.
------

I love shooting with my baby, it is getting difficult though because as you can imagine, as a boy he is just all over the place, he wants to play with his cars... look at the airplanes, run around and of course NOT take pictures. He is getting so big and even more handsome. This look was super comfortable for a great dinner with our family for my aunt's birthday. Have a sweet start to your week, happy Monday!
------
Feliz lunes!

The Pencil Skirt

It was a pretty gloomy morning today. I literally took these pics right before a thunderstorm! As you know skirts are my fave... so I wore this classic black pencil skirt today. My style is pretty classic and but I like to mix classic pieces (like this skirt) with a trendy piece or a pop of color. Which is exactly what I did this morning. This is a pretty simple look, white top, black skirt, so I focused on making my accessories pop. And of course ladies, any time you are wearing solid pieces or black for the matter an easy way to make the outfit fun is to wear a nice shade of lipstick. In this case I wore my favorite red shade from Urban Decay's fall line called BANG. It is so creamy and the color so vibrant!
------
Me encanta!

The Eliza Mint Necklace from my jewelry boutique's Fall Collection. A stunner, such a statement!

Now off to cooking I go... My son is about to wake up from his nap! Mommy and wife first but I love what I do as a blogger... Last night I attend a few events in the city, it is amazing to think where I was last year with my blog and where I am now. Still so many goals and dreams to achieve but really loving every second and every opportunity to do what I love. Thank you always for your constant support.

Pop of Red

You've probably seen these pants here a few times and that is because I love them a ton. They are perfect and go with a lot of my tops, prints and solids. I bought them early spring and have been wearing them ever since. As you know by now, I love a versatile piece, works well when you want to stay on budget but still look fab. I paired these pants with my favorite black + white sandals from none other than Zara. They are retro chic and very comfortable. I scored these babies during their summer sale.
-------

Silver Pearls

Last Thursday night I took a little trip to NYC with my cousin for a little retail therapy. More specifically to Zara, one of my all time favorite stores! One of my finds was this amazing top, it was just $29.90 and I am in complete love with it. The fit is perfect and I love that is definitely a piece that can transition from summer right into fall. This time I wore it with this cute coral lace skirt and my pretty suede pointy pumps, for a feminine and chic look. I added my very popular Camila Pearl Necklace, one of the most popular but out of stock pieces in my jewelry boutique. It was a gorgeous night. we shopped, we strolled around Bryant Park, had a little fro-yo of course and then headed back home to grub on some delicious Colombian food. I love perfect night like this one.
------

Mommy Chic: Bright Blazers

I haven't posted a mommy chic post in a little while. So this week I bring you a super casual and cute but of course comfortable look for any mommy to rock on these odd chilly August days. Any time I have errands to run with my son I prefer to wear flats. And that doesn't mean they have to be ugly flats, there are so many cute flat shoes now a days, I bought these for just $15 at the Lord & Taylor clearance event a couple of weeks ago. Remember, your style does not have to suffer just because you are a mommy now. I wanted to add a pop of color, so a bright blazer was the perfect touch to this casual outfit. Bright blazers are all the rave right now and I personally love it, it is one item that you have to have in your closet for all year round. They take any outfit from drab to fab!
------
No he puesto muchos look de mama moderna ultimamente.

Inspiration Nation: Fashion Bloggers

I am baaack... I had to take a little break these past few days. My son turned 2 last week and that to me meant it was all about HIM. I had been planning his 2nd birthday party for months and finally the day arrived... and everything turned out amazing. I will post my mommy chic outfit later on, I took a little break from blogging to focus on the party and relaxed a little, much needed by the way. But I am back loves and I am here to stay.

One of the things I love most about blogging (and I've said it before) is the people I get to meet... whether it is through online media or at actual events. I am mostly inspired by bloggers like me. To me, they are the most relate-able, they are like me. And that is what I wish for my readers to get from this blog... a relate-able person that they can be inspired by when they are getting ready in the morning...

... And for me, today, that is the amazing and beautiful Elizabeth Keene, from A Keene Sense of Style. I started following her recently maybe a couple of months back. Her style is chic and super lady like, so tailored every.single.time and she just has the most exquisite taste in clothes... she has an elegance like no other but still relate-able and still girl next door fabulous. I love being inspired by one another. The blogging world can get too competitive for my taste so I like to keep in 'blogger friendly' like my good friend says. So that is why today I decided to write a little more about who is inspiring ME right now. At the same time showing that blogging should be fun and about uplifting one another not about competition. It should be about inspiration! Whether that is inspiration to dress a certain way or accomplish a certain goal... or maybe even launch a certain business :) it is all about being inspired by other amazing women like YOURSELF, yes I said it. Be proud of what you have and who you are and do not compare yourself to others... simply be inspired by others. Your life is a reflection of the person that you are. So make it worth it, make it you.

Sunnies: Rayban | Chambray: Old Navy | Skirt: Forever 21 | Purse: Aldo
Shoes: Aldo | Bracelets: Lola Blue

These shoes are by far one of my most comfortable pair of heels. They are cute and feminine, I love the braided details. I think the pop of color of my lace skirt completes the outfit... definitely one of my favorite skirts.

I've been seeing the nail cuff crystal bracelet on a lot of celebrities... so of course I wanted to bring it to you too, it is now for purchase on my shop for just $18 and that includes shipping, buy it HERE.

I hope you have a great rest of the week my lovelies. Please bare with me as I get back into my regular blogging routine. I really do enjoy posting 3-4 times a week and I am working on getting back on track. But I must confess... it was pretty nice taking a little break. Hehe.

E.
