Hi guys! If you follow me on Instagram you know that I was in Miami for some R&R this past weekend. Which is why I was a little MIA (no pun intended) this past week... It was a fun little getaway and it was exactly what we needed. We stayed in South Beach for 5 days but I wanted to truly rest and relax so I only took photos of 2 outfits, this is one of them. You saw these pants for Day 3 of New York Fashion Week and it was one of my favorite looks. They are such a statement piece and they scream Miami to me, especially paired with this delicate and simple cami like this one. We went for a delicious breakfast at Havana 1957, it was amazing. The restaurant was so cute and detailed. Having a Pina Colada with your Cuban breakfast is the way to do it in Miami ;) Afterwards, we walked around Espanola Way and Lincoln Road Mall for some shopping. I just love Miami in November, there is nothing like it. So pretty and such beautiful weather!
Hola lindas!

Military jackets are so in right now and I didn't realize this was a total "Top Gun" look until I was writing this post haha! I love a great jacket that you can use over and over with different looks and this one is just that. This one is from Old Navy and I have a camo print as well. I love to have a some what manly piece in my closet, gives me a little bad-ass feel! I decided to pair two big trends for this look, the ever so popular oxblood aka burgundy with the army jacket. And of course it was only right to wear my super sparkly sequin eagle tee to complete my look!

Today I have a very special post for you. The last couple of months have been very hectic for me. I've been blessed with great opportunities and new projects. But I was left with little time to officially THANK YOU guys for an amazing 2 years. So today I celebrate my blogiversary with you. I launched my blog October 2011, when my son was just 2 1/2 months old. For the first year the blog started off very slow as I didn't have much time for it but it was something I wanted to do for a while. I am a true believer that when you want something so bad, you just make time for it. Summer of 2012 things started picking up and I started blogging full time. I attended events and have met some great and inspiring people. But the truth is I couldn't do this without any of you. I appreciate all your comments and sweet words, I could never thank you guys for reading my blog and supporting me. It truly means the world to me! And as part of this thank you, I am giving away this fabulous prize to one (1) lucky Lola Blue winner. I love the holidays and what better time to give than now!

Asistí a eventos y he conocido a algunas persona muy lindas e inspiradoras.

Happy Monday you guys! It is a brand new week and I am excited for it. I am loving the tartan and plaid trend. Plaids and tartan are classics! And they can be dressed up or down, which I love, versatile pieces keep me on budget! I've had this button down for a while now, I got it at H&M about 3 years. I love to wear blazers instead of coats, I don't like coats very much. So wearing a flannel that is already cozy with this navy blazer was perfect for November. I decided to add my red pumps and nude lips to bring the look together. I feel like all the pieces in this look compliment each other so well. Adding a sparkly necklace gives this style a pop of elegance I love so much.

Blazer + Shirt/Camisa: H&M | Bag/Cartera: Coach | Sunnies/Gafas: Rayban
Jeans: Zara | Necklace/Collar: Lola Blue | Shoes/Zapatos: Forever 21

I usually don't blog on the weekend but I know some of you didn't get to watch my Univision segment on Thursday since it aired only in the NYC, NJ and CT. To say that it was an amazing experience wouldn't be enough. I had been working on this project for a little while now and the day finally came. I must admit I was quite nervous but mostly excited! When I got the opportunity to put this segment together I was given the freedom to talk about whatever I wanted and I chose to do my Mommy Chic styles because I think it is so important to let other moms like me know that we can still the same women we were before baby without letting ourselves go. I was able to pick my models and it was so important to me to show the viewers women of all ages and sizes and not just stick skinny models. So I did what I know best and I brought my family along! I had 2 cousins and 1 aunt, as well as 2 friends model for me. It was so nice to do this with such supportive women. The morning started off pretty early for us and everything went smoothly. All my nerves and anxiety quickly dissolved as soon as the cameras were turned on me. I loved every minute of it and I am so grateful to God I was given the chance to do this. I always say but it is so true without my family's support I would be no where and without you guys this blog wouldn't be where it is today. Little by little, hard work, long nights, stressful days pay off. Thank you so much to those who woke up extra early to watch me and to those who took the time to record the program. Your words of encouragement and love meant the world to me. Here are some pics from that morning.

When I was told the segment would be 5 minutes I was a little freaked out. I thought to myself "5 minutes is long for TV time" but let me tell you they flew by. The whole cast at Univision was simply amazing. They were so sweet to us, I couldn't thank them enough. They were so welcoming and happy to have us.

Thank you so much to my beautiful ladies. They were so willing to do anything for me and so sweet. And they all did so great. We truly had a blast, this was a day to remember.

Susan, Rocio and my tia Martha, my family means the world to me. So happy I could bring them along!

I couldn't have done this without the skills of my fabulous makeup artist Stephanie Crespo. She is so talented and I loved how she made me look, it was exactly what I wanted and she always knows how to make me feel stunning. Thank you Steph, you rock! xo

This is my favorite photo, Belge, one of the models took it!

I hope you guys enjoyed this little recap I have so many photos I am happy you guys were interested in seeing them. This was a VERY long day for me. I woke up at 2:30 am because I couldn't sleep. My alarm had been set for 3:30am but I was so anxious I kept checking the time. Thank you to my wonderful husband for being my rock. You are my all! And thank you to my mom, for being so willing to help me with Ben every time I need her. I could never do this without them. "Good things come to those who work hard".

And lastly here is the video of the segment for those of you who didn't get to see it on Thursday. You can also click HERE to go straight to my YouTube channel and watch it. Enjoy!
