The Latin Billboards 2013

As some of you may know the Latin Billboards took place last night in sexy Miami. And of course there were the fashion and beauty predictions, this time from celebrity makeup artist Claudia Betancur and celebrity hairstylist Marco Carrasquillo - here is what they had to say...

HAIR

L’Oréal Paris: What big hair trend do you predict seeing this Thursday for Latin Billboard Awards? More importantly, what can we expect to see on Ana Barbara?
Marcos Carrasquillo: “One of the biggest hair trends I predict for this red carpet will be the loose, beachy waves- especially on Ana.  Ana loves to rock her voluminous hair; her honey highlights always add that golden touch which is so trend for the spring season.”

L’Oréal Paris: How can we recreate Ana’s seductive beachy waves?
Marcos Carrasquillo: “This is a very simple, easy look to recreate. Start with towel-dried hair and massage a volumizing product into your roots such as the L’Oréal Paris EverStrong Thickening Tonic. Apply a quarter-sized amount of the L’Oréal Paris EverCurl Hydracharge Leave-In Cream through your ends, working in small sections for the most even coverage. Scrunch your hair while blow-drying to amp up the texture and volume. For a more defined and long-lasting look, wrap sections around a medium-sized curling iron. Finish off with L’Oréal Paris Elnett Satin Strong Hold Hairspray.”

L’Oréal Paris: What hair color do you recommend using to achieve Ana’s honey highlights?
Marcos Carrasquillo“I would recommend using the new L’Oréal Paris Feria Wild Ombré in 060, which works for medium to dark brown hair. A subtle ombré works best to embrace the spring season without having to make a bold commitment. What makes this product so easy is that users can control where and to what degree they want to lighten their hair.”

MAKEUP

L’Oréal Paris: What big trend do you foresee this Thursday at the Latin Billboards red carpet? And what should we expect to see from Adamari Lopez?
Claudia Betancur: “Baring skin will play a major role at the red carpet this Thursday. I expect to see fresh tans-especially on Adamari Lopez. She always looks super chic with a beautiful bronzy glow.”

L’Oréal Paris: What do you recommend for those that want to sport that coveted sun-kissed look?
Claudia Betancur: “L’Oréal Paris just launched their Sublime Bronze ProPerfect Salon Airbrush Mist which works miracles. Its professionally-styled airbrush allows every girl to become a self-tanning expert delivering a natural-looking, bronzy glow “

L’Oréal Paris: What makeup look do you predict will dominate the red carpet? Bold eyes, bold lips, or both?
Claudia Betancur: “I predict a lot of greens and blue shades for the eyes. I predict that Adamari will wear a subtle green eye shadow. Green eye shadow always helps a bronzy complexion stand out. L’Oréal Paris has a perfect emerald shade- Infallible Eye Shadow in Golden Emerald. Apply it softly on the lid and finish off with a thin black line to add definition. I love using the L’Oréal Paris Super Slim Liner by Infallible as it creates both a precise and bold line. Finish off your look with lengthening mascara, such as the L’Oréal Paris Telescopic Shocking Extensions Mascara. I don’t think the bold lip will be trending for this red carpet- it will clash too much with the bronzy look. I’m a fan of lip gloss and nude lip and I recommend wearing a subtle shade similar to the L’Oréal Paris Colour Caresse Shine Stain in Pink Resistance.

Here are two of my picks for best dressed last night.

Carlos Vives looked very handsome in his charcoal suit. And his wife was the perfect accessory.

I loved Gaby Espino's dress, so elegant and beautiful on her.
The high bun and simple makeup, perfected this look.

Did you have any faves?

xo,
E.
